Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville (recognized for excellence in critical care) and AdventHealth Hendersonville provide additional options just 30 minutes north.

Mission Health also operates a 24/7 regional medical helicopter service — Mountain Area Medical Airlift (MAMA) — covering a 150-mile radius, providing fast transport to advanced care in any serious situation.

The combination of a local community hospital, strong regional medical centers nearby, and a growing network of specialist practices in the area gives residents meaningful peace of mind.

Getting Here and Getting Around

One of the practical things people worry about before moving somewhere like this is whether they'll feel cut off. The answer in Brevard is a firm no.

Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is just about 30 minutes away — an easy, scenic drive. It connects to major hubs like Charlotte, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, and Washington D.C., served by American Airlines, Delta, United, and others. If you want a larger airport for more connections, Charlotte Douglas (CLT) is about 2.5 hours east and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (ATL) is about 3.5 hours southwest — both very manageable for periodic travel.
